Quality Engineer (m/w/d)

The Role
You are responsible for quality issues within our business unit about cooling and heating of batteries, cabins, e-motors and more, that means:
customer claims

• registering of Customer Non-Conformities in ERP system
• clarification with customer
• 8D reports
• creation of corrective actions
• follow up with any roles
• register and control COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality)

supplier claims

• registering of supplier Non-Conformities in ERP system
• clarification with supplier
• review and approval of 8D reports
• register and control COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality)

goods in inspection

• define inspection for components like pumps, compressors according to QMS system
• define jigs and electromechanical functions to perform goods in inspection together with the design team and operations
• prepare an overall concept for GI inspection for parts and electrical components
• execute the inspection
• qualify suppliers according to goods-in inspection in accordance with further departments

customer audits / PPAP

• prepare documentation for PAPP of different customers
• prepare documentation for customer audits
• Support in customer audits

After 3 months, you…

• are familiar with our company products, know-how and main applications
• have gained a good understanding of our TMS and our future development steps
• have a clear understanding of our current components catalogue
• are familiar with the claim process at Ymer and you have the first ideas to improve
• are introduced to the quality engineers of our customers

After 12 months you…

• are settled as claim manager for our customers
• know our suppliers
• goods in inspection established
• are able to do PPAP according to the needs of customers together with the group quality manager
• are familiar with the quality management system

why will you perform well in the role

• Bachelor / Master degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics with background or interest in engineering or equivalent business experience
• Experienced with claim procedures and quality management systems
• Ideally experienced in the field of goods – in inspection
• Fluent in German and English
