Software Factory provides a large-scale software engineering platform as the backbone for MB.OS (Mercedes-Benz Operating System). The whole Infotainment Platform and many other car’s Electronic Control Units are developed on Software Factory. With Software Factory, we continuously develop, integrate, deliver, and deploy the mobility experience of the future to provide our end-users a digital luxury experience.
Sneak preview of your future tasks
- Drive and Shape Quality Ecosystem Strategy: Together with a group of other architects, lead the change in defining and executing the product strategy for our cutting-edge quality ecosystem within MB.OS
- Innovate the Testing Ecosystem: Collaborate with Product Owners, Experts, Management, and Mercedes-Benz stakeholders to create a state-of-the-art MB.OS most desired quality ecosystem
- Champion Customer Experience: Deliver unparalleled customer experiences, embodying our Vision: “Most desired quality ecosystem for MB.OS”
- Translate Business Needs: Partner with stakeholders and SAFe Product Managers to distill ECU business requirements into actionable Epics with precision and clarity
- Communicate Vision: Clearly articulate the product vision to our teams, stakeholders, and management, ensuring alignment and understanding
- Foster Collaboration: Work closely with diverse teams in our SAFe Agile Release Trains, international hubs, external vendors, internal departments, and MB.OS expert groups to advance continuous testing initiatives
Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communication Technology, Automotive Software, or a comparable qualification
- At least 5 years of experience in developing embedded systems, test ecosystems, test automation frameworks, and CI/CD services for embedded systems in the automotive industry · Deep knowledge about at least three of these topics: AUTOSAR, ASPICE, ISO26262, ISO29119, MISRA and other SW development standards
- At least 3 years of experience as an SW Architect, Expert Developer or similar position
- Proven track record in conceptualizing and implementing complex products or ecosystems
- Experience applying various product vision shaping techniques like user journey, design thinking, and others to cater for different feature and roadmap constraints
- Hands-on experience to work and solve challenges in an agile and customer-driven environment
- Ownership and Excellence: Demonstrate a strong willingness to take ownership and consistently strive for the best solutions
- Communication and Teamwork: Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Facilitation and Organization: Possess exceptional facilitation, moderation, organization, prioritization, and self-management skills
- Continuous Improvement: Embrace a relentless “improve and learn” attitude, tackling unknowns and uncertainties to serve Mercedes-Benz development teams efficiently
- Dev Ops and Engineering Excellence: Aspire to Dev Ops principles and maintain a high standard of engineering excellence
- Multiple projects: Capable of handling multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership and Role Modeling: Act as a proven role model with a leadership mindset
- Initiative and Resilience: Show personal initiative, commitment, perseverance, and resilience
- Willingness to Travel: Be open to traveling worldwide (10% of the time, primarily in Germany)
- Language Proficiency: Proficient in both English and German
