Overview
We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our client in Frankfurt, Germany. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing costs and ensuring the financial viability of construction projects. This position requires a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills to provide accurate cost estimates and maintain budgetary control throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties
  • This role will be based in Frankfurt, Germany.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects from a financial perspective.
  • Monitor project costs and implement cost control measures to ensure adherence to budgets.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
  • Prepare tender documents and evaluate bids from contractors to ensure value for money.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and identify potential cost overruns or savings.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to projects.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes as necessary.
Experience
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential.
  • Proven experience in cost control within the construction industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools for quantity surveying and cost estimation.
  • A proactive approach with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
