Job description

You work in a team of around 10 engineers in the Fuel Materials and Thermal Mechanics department. You report to the Fuel Materials group leader.
Your tasks are:
  • Responsibility for metallic and ceramic materials regarding design specifications, manufacturing processes and suppliers
  • Assessment of material behavior under operating conditions in nuclear pressurized and boiling water reactors
  • Planning and evaluation of tests and inspections for characterization of materials with internal and external reporting
  • Planning of on-site inspection campaigns in commercial reactors as well as independent preparation and review of respective technical reports
  • Timely preparation of technical documents in excellent quality to ensure customer satisfaction, internally and externally
  • Active role in handling potential manufacturing quality events

Profile

Requirements:
  • University degree (Master/Diploma) in materials science or natural sciences
  • First professional experience is desirable, but not required
  • Language skills: German (B1), English (B1), French desirable
  • Enjoy working with people in a multidisciplinary and international environment
