Describe the role:
As one of our Project Engineers, you will play a pivotal role in the Research & Development team, guiding the complete development cycle of cutting-edge medical devices. Your primary responsibilities will include researching, designing, and testing innovative products to ensure they meet high standards of quality and performance. You will report directly to your Team Leader and the Head of R&D, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive projects forward.
In this dynamic role, you will also be tasked with troubleshooting and identifying root causes of issues, as well as exploring opportunities to enhance efficiency and capacity within the development process.
Location: Winsen, Germany
What is the Day Job:

• Plan and document projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are maintained within the ERP system.
• Conduct in vitro and bench tests, and prepare design verification and validation reports.
• Implement and improve processes for biodegradable stents and support production with problem-solving.
• Analyse test results, prepare presentations for management, and lead cross-functional meetings.
• Collaborate with external suppliers and partners, including potential travel for project-related activities.

What You Need:

• Minimum Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering or equivalent. Master of Science preferred.
• Strong design skills with CAD Software’s such as Solidworks, Auto CAD or Inventor
• Strong understanding of metals/polymers and their processing techniques required
• Prior medical device experience especially in catheter and stent design is preferred
• Ability to work both independently and in conjunction with a team
• High efficiency with MS-Office
