Research and education are focused on Geotechnical Engineering in general and Marine Geotechnics in particular. The main field of research activities is the optimization of geotechnical techniques and constructions by means of mathematical optimization and numerical simulation.

YOUR TASKS

• Processing of research project “Load-bearing behaviour of tension piles (Tension PI)”
• realisation of shear tests in a miniaturized ring shear apparatus in a μ-CT (Computed tomography)
• realisation of shear tests in the ring shear apparatus
• realisation of model tests
• numerical simulation
• Support for courses in the field of soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering
• Supervision of student work
• Administrative and organizational tasks of self-administration

YOUR PROFILE

Requirements

• Completed scientific university studies, in particular in the subject Civil Engineering ideally with specialization in Geotechnical Engineering

Required knowledge and personal skills

• Knowledge of computational geomechanics is an advantage
• Reliable, independent way of working, social skills and ability to work in a team
