Aufgabe
- TÜV SÜD Global Risk Consultants (GRC) is the leading unbundled property loss control provider worldwide, offering a complete portfolio of services including Fire Protection Engineering, Boiler & Machinery Engineering, Infrared Thermographic Surveys, Jurisdictional Boiler & Pressure Vessel Inspections, Natural Hazards Analysis, Diversified Services, and Loss Control Training. For over 60 years, GRC has gone beyond the parameters of traditional property loss control services and continuously strives to provide our clients with solutions to help achieve and maintain a highly protected status.
- The Employee shall assume the position of Senior Consultant
- General Requirements:
- Field Surveys - conduct property loss control surveys to evaluate the property and business interruption. exposures at client facilities based on NFPA Standards and others as appropriate.
- Develop recommendations based on standards to include loss estimates before and after completion of the recommendations.
- Evaluate automatic fire protection and water supply systems.
- Report and evaluate building construction, occupancy, special and natural hazards.
- Develop loss estimates based on scenarios such as the Maximum Foreseeable Loss.
- Provide project management services to include plan reviews, special visits and oral/written presentation to clients.
- Provides training and peer review for other consultants; serve as a technical resource to other consultants.
- Services provided to clients includes training, manual and program development, code or regulatory interpretation.
- May prepare and present proposals, develop service instructions, solicit client feedback and prepare stewardship reports.
- Work assigned is typically of higher technical need as well as being in direct contact with upper client management, including risk managers, financial managers and other decision makers.
- Professional conduct and excellent written/verbal communication skills are required as the position requires direct contact with upper client management, including risk managers, financial managers, and other decision makers.
- Actively manage your work assigned in the database.
- Functional Requirements:
- Review and respond to communication from clients and internal communication.
- Carry out field work, report writing, consulting and plan review.
- Review workloads and revise accordingly.
- Must be able to: climb ladders; lift/carry up to 50 lbs; stoop, crouch, crawl; traverse catwalks.
- The activity shall encompass primarily field work with on demand presence at the office in Darmstadt for report writing, preparation, project handling, participation in meetings and training, etc. The territory to be covered shall consist primarily of Poland, Germany and adjoining European countries but may on occasions involve worldwide assignments.
Qualifikation
- To perform his duties the Employee must be in possession of a valid drivers license for passenger cars. A willingness to travel by air is a precondition for this job
- For internal and external communication, solid mastery of the Polish and English spoken and written language is a prerequisite.
- Also required is adequate familiarity with electronic word processing and e-mail communication.
- Another requirement is extensive knowledge of the relevant loss prevention guidelines (Vd S/FM/NFPA/local) as well as the willingness to undergo further training in that area.
