As a Senior Maintenance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and cost efficiency of our equipment. You will work closely with production and process personnel to minimize breakdowns and implement machine improvements. A typical day will involve analyzing machine maintenance losses, leading optimization programs, and training less experienced colleagues. About the team
You will be one of the first engineers in our fast-growing Maintenance team, which will expand as we ramp up operations in Heide. Our team is dedicated to creating a safe and efficient working environment, and your expertise will be vital to our long-term goals of building a world-class battery factory.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with production and process personnel to mitigate machine breakdowns and drive equipment improvements.
- Lead the development and optimization of maintenance programs to enhance equipment performance.
- Analyze maintenance losses and implement solutions to eliminate or reduce them.
- Provide training and guidance to less experienced colleagues in maintenance tasks.
- Ensure availability of spare parts and oversee larger reinvestments when needed.
The person we are looking for is highly organized, communicative, and results-driven. You enjoy working in a high-paced environment, and you’re passionate about continuous improvement. You should have strong technical knowledge in mechanical, automation, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and experience in leading maintenance initiatives in an industrial setting. We believe that you have :
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance or production.
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Experience in battery facilities is valuable but not required.
- Good technical knowledge of mechanical, automation, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience and interest in manufacturing industry
- Fluency in other languages (Japanese, Swedish, Chinese, French)
- Experience from a multi-cultural environment
