At Terra One, we accelerate the expansion of renewable energy infrastructure by developing and implementing innovative solutions. Our initial focus is on battery storage, a crucial component for establishing a flexible and environmentally friendly power grid. By providing energy when it is most needed, we help improve the reliability and efficiency of the power grid while simultaneously reducing CO2 emissions. Equally important to our mission is our AI-based energy trading in the European market, which works hand in hand with our battery storage solutions

We are looking to strengthen our team with two additional System Engineer (m/f/d) roles which shall jointly cover the responsibilities mentioned below, so it is fine if you feel you only qualify for a part of that.

Your Tasks
- Building and maintaining our trading system and all supporting systems (data layer for timeseries and non-timeseries data, CRM and much more)
- Create new concepts and flows together with the trading team to continuously improve our systems
- Setup and maintain cloud infrastructures for high availability applications
- Take ownership for communicating with external service providers to build and maintain API connections
- Setup and maintain monitoring systems for both technical and business monitoring, as well as reporting exports
- Support the trading team for system and infrastructure maintenance and possibly python development for the algo trading and ML models
- Ownership of your work - move quickly, iterate and make decisions. We want to be quicker than conservative organizations

- High intellectual curiosity and grit combined with a commercial mindset
- You can be inquisitive and rigorous but also pragmatic
- High motivation, ability to work in a fast-paced and complex environment, well- and self-organized
- High level of integrity, ethical standard and good judgment
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
- Your homebase should be Berlin for better collaboration. We are working in a hybrid model
- University degree in computer or natural sciences, mathematics or economics
- Extensive experience with Node Js & Type Script, relevant libraries like express JS & zod
- Extensive experience with databases (no SQL & SQL - Mongo DB, Postgre SQL etc.)
- Extensive experience with system integrations, external APIs of various types (REST, SOAP, Graph QL, etc.), messaging systems (Kafka, Rabbit MQ), streaming, microservice architectures, and high-load/high-frequency applications.
- Experience with React & Type Script
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, github & git,
- Experience with trading systems of all kind is a big plus
- Experience with Python, ML, statistical modeling is a plus
