The role is based in Athens, Greece and reports to the Clinical Operations Excellence and Study Start-Up Head.
The position
In this role you will be managing and negotiating contracts for clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting clinical research activities. This position requires overseeing the end-to-end contract management process, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, monitoring contract performance, and staying updated on industry regulations and best practices. Effective communication, strong negotiation skills, and in-depth knowledge of clinical trial regulations are essential for success in this role.

The position
In this role you will be managing and negotiating contracts for clinical trials, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting clinical research activities. This position requires overseeing the end-to-end contract management process, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, monitoring contract performance, and staying updated on industry regulations and best practices. Effective communication, strong negotiation skills, and in-depth knowledge of clinical trial regulations are essential for success in this role.
The main accountabilities will be to:
- Manage commercial and contractual relationship with investigators and clinical sites to meet timelines and demands of assigned clinical trials and establish and maintain partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver assigned activities proactively, independently and in accordance with NN Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs)
- Escalate changes to legal language and budget requests other than previously approved to appropriate stakeholders where required
- Collaborate with Clinical Trial Administrators on signing, shipping, and repository of contractual documents
- Draft original contracts for clinical sites and vendors and negotiate contract language and budget directly with clinical sites in line with previously accepted parameter
Qualifications
In order to be considered, you need to be fluent in English and Greek and have minimum 1 year of experience in clinical operations/global clinical trials in various positions and a relevant experience in managing contracts and communication with financial authorities. You also have:
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Team-oriented personality with high degree of flexibility - close collaboration with relevant roles to ensure successful contract execution
- Ability to work in a structured and proactive manner as well as part of the different trial teams
- Excellent communication skills - able to communicate in a clear and effective way, being capable to be diplomatic and find common solutions with stakeholders
- Excellent organisational and long-term planning skills
- Computer literacy and IT skills

About the department
The Clinical Operations Department is a fast-growing Team with highly skilled and ambitious colleagues responsible for the planning and execution of clinical trial activities in accordance with the Product Development Plans of Novo Nordisk.
The scope of our activities is phase I to IV clinical trials and non-interventional studies in collaboration with our Headquarters and local stakeholders.
