Kai Tak Sports Park is a fully integrated sports, leisure and entertainment destination that is expected to be completed in 2024. The 28 hectare park will be part of the redevelopment on the site of the old Hong Kong International Airport in Kai Tak. Kai Tak Sports Park Ltd (KTSPL) has been awarded the contract to undertake this project. ASM Global, through its subsidiary company in Hong Kong, SMG China, has been engaged by KTSPL to be the Operator of Kai Tak Sports Park.

Role Introduction

The incumbent will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing various wooden structures and fixtures according to project specifications, assisting in supervising relevant carpentry projects, working according to company requirements, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget, and meeting the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for maintenance, repairs, and operations related to carpentry work on site;

Construct and install relevant carpentry structures and fixtures, such as wooden furniture, doors, site backgrounds, wooden floor, moldings, etc.;

Inspect and replace damaged frames or other structures and fixtures;

Ensure all work meets quality standards and is completed within the designated time frame;

Identify and report any issues or concerns to the supervisor;

Comply with all safety regulations and use appropriate personal protective equipment;

Guide and supervise laborers and other construction workers;

Perform temporary duties as required by the company;

Be on duty standby during events.

Requirements

Form 3 or above, with vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry (is preferred).

Preference will be given to those with relevant registration as a semi-skilled or skilled worker (carpentry industry);

Ability to read and interpret related drawings and specifications.

At least 3 years of practical experience as a carpenter, with preference for those who have worked in the construction or renovation industry.

Proficient in using relevant manual and power tools.

Proficiency in reading and writing Chinese, with preference given to those who can communicate in English.
