The Opportunity:
ECI has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our Hong Kong team. In this role, you will be a trusted project implementation leader and advisor to our clients providing valuable expert guidance around technology implementations, relocations, or enhancements of their IT infrastructure, including proactive recommendations to deliver ongoing success to our clients. In this role, the Project Manager will develop relationships that lead to a total technology solution that will meet the client’s needs and that will deliver additional products and services while increasing sales, profitability, and maintaining client loyalty and retention through project implementation. The Project Manager is responsible for providing project planning & execution leadership and is the top-level escalation point for project implementations.

This is a hybrid role with a strong preference for candidates to be based in the Hong Kong area.

What you will do:
  • Provide project planning and leadership as the top-level escalation point for project implementations.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to define project technology scope, budget, schedule, and deliverable expectations.
  • Implement project timelines and plans, target clients and ensure client objectives are met through project implementation.
  • Lead client project update meetings on a regular basis to review project status, potential risks and general project scheduling.
  • Act as a liaison between the client, ECI and technology vendors to orchestrate, schedule, and track major projects and initiatives.
  • Serve as point of contact and manage needs gathering and administration stiving to bridge any information gaps between client, vendor, and internal resources.
  • Coordinate projects, communications, tasks, and status efforts on behalf of the client.
  • Work with internal departments to fulfill matters related to hardware and software purchases, order tracking, contract review, support hours, monthly invoicing and accounts receivable.
  • Apply PMI methodology and internal processes to partners with key stakeholders to define project technology scope, budget, schedule and deliverable expectations.
  • Develop complex project schedules with Microsoft project beginner to intermediate level.
  • Interact with diverse personalities both internally and externally and develop business relationship skills for repeatable assignments to the customer.
  • Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.
  • Engage in self-directed continuous improvement of project planning & execution.


Who you are:
  • College or University degree or comparable experience in project management
  • Ability to apply project management methodologies and strategies to reduce potential project risk throughout the duration of the project lifecycle.
  • High- level understanding of IT-related construction projects including IT cable plant design, IT room layout, IT room ready requirements. WAP placement.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities moving project(s) to completion.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and ability to demonstrate client sensitivity.
  • High-level understanding of Cloud Implementations and Migrations involving Microsoft Office 365. And Azure. Networks, routers, firewalls, switching, circuits, wireless access points and workstation profile setups.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project & Visio.
  • Capable of multitasking in a high pace environment, effectively and efficiently.


Bonus points if you have:
  • PMP or similar certifications a plus
  • Managed services provider (MSP) experience preferred.
