Term / Part-time (Daytime) Assistant Lecturer (Information and Communications Technology)

Major Duties:

(a)
To perform teaching duties and assist in supervision of student projects and fieldwork placement;

(b)
To assist in carrying out duties in relation to student and academic administration;

(c)
To assist in developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials; and

(d)
To participate in departmental projects and functions, including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions.


Requirements:

(a)
A relevant recognised degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent, preferably with post-graduate qualifications;

(b)
Good knowledge in computer network, Dev Ops, Python/Java programming, web and android development;

(c)
Good knowledge in cloud computing – AWS or Azure or GCP, AI, Io T, big data, SAP and/or; holder of VMware and public cloud certification is highly preferred;

(d)
Strong communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese;

(e)
Preferably with knowledge and experience in design and implementation of computer networks, software development on multiplatform, AI, Io T or big data application development, and/or application development on cloud; and

(f)
Good records of linkage with industry / professional bodies or with solid industrial experience would be an advantage.

The post is at the rank of “Teaching Associate”.

(2)
Shortlisted candidate will be required to take a written assessment.

(3)
Appointees may be required to work irregular hours / outside normal office hours and/or at different work locations on a need basis.
