We are an international organization within Ericsson, concentrating our efforts to r App development mainly in the network optimization domain. Our goal is to develop great quality software to our customers to help them to improve the efficiency and quality of their mobile networks.
We are now looking for a Data Scientist Intern to assist our Data Scientist team in developing product prototypes using different types of machine learning algorithms and to support our development teams to productify the solutions.
We are operating in a TDD based, lean and agile ways of working. We are organized in cross-functional-transversal multi-domain development teams in which we foster continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge transfer to achieve real Dev Ops

What you will do

• Collaborate with the data science team & software engineers to analyze and understand project requirements and objectives.
• Participate in the integration of AI models into software applications and ensure their proper functionality.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis, data preprocessing, and feature engineering to prepare data for modeling tasks.
• Review and experiment with different machine learning techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms.
• Train, validate, and fine-tune machine learning models using relevant programming languages and frameworks.
• Evaluate and interpret the performance of AI models using appropriate evaluation metrics and statistical methods for various software projects.
• Document and present findings, insights, and recommendations to the data science team and project stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in AI, machine learning, and data science techniques.
• Contribute to team discussions, brainstorming sessions, and knowledge sharing activities to foster a collaborative learning environment.

You will bring

• Ongoing degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of fundamental concepts in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data analysis.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science, such as Python.
• Familiarity with popular machine learning frameworks and libraries, such as Tensor Flow, Py Torch, or scikit-learn.
• Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis techniques.
• Knowledge of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and extract meaningful insights.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members spread across the globe.
• Fluent English is a must, written and spoken
• Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a passion for AI, machine learning, and data science.
• Previous experience or coursework in AI, machine learning, or data science is a plus.
