Your team responsibilities
MSCI is searching for an innovative and solutions-oriented Engineering Program Manager who is able to collaborate effectively with internal and external technical teams and be responsible for the overall quality of production deliveries across multiple platforms.
In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and program managing teams to setup quality controls by defining and enforcing quality standards, policies, and best practices across MSCI.
The person will possess a strong program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects, and will have a well-rounded technical background in current technologies and solutions. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an innovative environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done.

Your key responsibilities

• Manage, scope, and drive implementation programs across multiple business units to drive production quality, Service Quality and Data Quality

• Evaluate issues and propose actionable resolutions to design and execution problems

• Monitor and enforce project schedules and quality with vendors or subcontractors

• Lead and coordinate execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors focusing on quality improvements

• Develop and simplify processes and tools to eliminate defect injection across multiple programs

• Drive quality standards and consistency across all the MSCI business units

• Oversee data mining and analyze the results to provide recommendations, conclusions, and solutions

• Create and communicate meaningful high level reports to leadership regularly

• Work with Quality Management Systems team to provide requirements to enable us to monitor, measure, and improve quality of products and services;

• Provide guidance, training, and support to all product teams on quality-related matters.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and any engineering discipline

• 8+ years of experience as a SDET engineering manager, engineering manager, technical program manager related occupation

• Strong presentation and negotiation skills

• Advanced knowledge of business process engineering methodology

• Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills

• Excellent and effective communication, customer service and time-management skills

• Ability to communicate complex information with understanding to a variety of audiences who have different levels of experience and knowledge

• Thorough understanding of project management phases, techniques, and tools

• Demonstrated aptitude for effective leadership of staff

• Ability to recognize problems or situations that are new or without clear precedent and offer solutions

• Experience driving business transformation through quality assurance and/or lean continuous process improvement initiatives
