Job Overview
As an MRI Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the medical field by operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to create diagnostic images. Your expertise will aid in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Duties
- Perform MRI scans on patients using specialized equipment
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures
- Collaborate with radiologists to interpret images and provide diagnostic evaluations
- Maintain detailed records of procedures and patient information
- Utilize medical imaging techniques to produce high-quality images
- Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology during scans
Qualifications
- Proficiency in aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment
- Strong understanding of medical imaging principles and practices
- Experience with MRI, CT, and sonography equipment
- Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to accurately position patients for scans
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $49.00 - $61.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
