Description: Drug Discovery SME PO
An IT services company is looking for a Drug Discovery SME to work for a client in the pharma domain and support the development of new software solutions to make decrease time to develop novel therapeutics.
Responsibilities

• Provide scientific and technical expertise on drug discovery projects, from target identification to lead optimization.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments using various in vitro and in vivo assays, such as biochemical, cellular, pharmacological, and molecular biology techniques.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, and clinical development, to advance drug candidates.
• Communicate and present research findings and progress to the client and other stakeholders.
• Keep up to date with the latest scientific literature and developments in the field of drug discovery.

Qualifications

• Masters or above education in Drug discovery, Pharma, Applied Biology, or Molecular biology.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in drug discovery, preferably in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry as BA / PO/ SME for developing computer systems.
• Strong knowledge and skills in various drug discovery platforms and technologies, such as target validation, screening, hit identification, hit-to-lead, and lead optimization. Be a link between Scientists and IT team to make an effective computer solution
• Experience with different therapeutic modalities, such as small molecules, biologics, or nucleic acids.
• Able to create functional requirements, test application and get UAT done
• Knowledge of COTS solutions in this area
• Proficient in data analysis, interpretation, and visualization using various software and tools.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
• Highly motivated, creative, and collaborative, with a passion for drug discovery and innovation.
