Senior Accounts Executive

Role and Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the art gallery in appropriate ledgers, journals, and software.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and petty cash.
- Prepare and process journal entries, including adjustments, accruals, and deferrals ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
- Stay updated on tax regulations and reporting requirements, preparing and submitting tax returns such as income tax, sales tax, GST etc.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for regulatory purposes, working closely with external auditors and tax consultants during audits and inspections.
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes and process vendor invoices, reconcile statements, and manage payment schedules.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables, ensuring timely collections.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve payment and billing discrepancies.
- Generate and Coordinate for accurate invoices and its procedures with clients and stakeholders for events hosted by the art gallery.
- Monitor event payments, ensuring timely collection and appropriate recordkeeping.
- Prepare regular financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management regarding the gallery's financial performance.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Handle export/import-related banking activities, including documentation and compliance.
- Liaise with banks, customs authorities, shipping companies, and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate international payments, foreign currency transactions, and trade finance.
- Stay informed about export/import regulations and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Masters degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Certified Public Accountant designation is a plus) with proven experience of 3-6 years as an Accountant or in a similar financial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, accounting software(Zoho), MS Office applications(Excel), Tally etc.
- Familiarity with art market practices and regulations is desirable but not mandatory.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
- Integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
