Our expanding team is in search of an experienced Medical Coding with Certifications. This crucial role underpins our finance department by ensuring precise and effective coding processes.
*Key Responsibilities:*
- Accurately submit medical claims to insurance companies and payers, including Medicare, PPO/POS, HMO, EPO, Medicaid, Auto Insurances, and Workers comp insurances.
- Review patient billing information for completeness and accuracy.
- Extract diagnoses and perform coding for medical procedures as per operating reports, using ICD-10 and CPT codes.
- Manage accounts receivable, pursue unpaid claims, and address billing issues.
- Conduct preauthorization processes and confirm insurance coverage for treatments.
- Stay informed on billing regulations, healthcare laws, and insurance policies.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to ensure smooth payment processes.
*Qualifications:*
- Demonstrated experience in medical billing, coding, and claim submission.
- Certification in Medical Coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- In-depth understanding of insurance policies, including Medicare, PPO/POS, and Medicaid, along with surgical procedures and reimbursement regulations.
- Experience in preauthorization processes is a major advantage.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented, highly accurate, and capable of multitasking.
