Department
In our Mining service group Upgrades & Retrofits, we will bring sustainable technologies and services to existing equipment installations to extent operating life, improve performance and/or efficiency. Our goal is getting true value of our customer assets.
Role
As a Sr.Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the managing the team of commissioning engineers. You would have the opportunity to be part of an international team and join a growing business. This role would be based in Chennai, India. However, you would have to travel for minimum 120 days in a year.
Your responsibilities
- Manage the Indian commissioning team at site
- Make a commissioning plan/ resource allocation / execute as per safe manner.
- Responsible for the utilization of the team to handle ISO activities.
- Provides technical advice to customers including commissioning, installing, and testing of products/equipment.
- Provide feedback to the Engineering team after completion of commissioning activity.
- Ensure that commissioning activity comply with the term and condition of the contract with the client.
- Manage subcontractors on site in accordance with the above point.
- Ensure that quality plan for commissioning is implemented.
- controls scope changes introduced to site.
- Initiate, guide, review and approves schedule and estimates.
- continuously alert to means and methods by which operation of the commissioning force can be improved and revision of the operating plan as applicable.
- Promote as culture of a personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company operational activities.
What you bring
- Ability to perform Process audit of a cement plant equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot cement plant equipment.
- Knowledge in the raw materials used in a cement plant.
- Knowledge of working in a cement process lab would be an advantage.
- Ability to co-ordinate and collaborate with Global & Domestic teams.
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s Engineering degree / master’s Science from a reputed university specializing in Chemical.
Experience
15+ of years relevant work experience in managing / trouble shooting of Plant operations /commissioning projects.
5+years of experience in handling a team. Experience from the cement Industry is a must.
