Senior Java Developer

Develop a comprehensive and scalable logging framework tailored for a banking project
-
Work with different stakeholders, including SRE and application teams, to identify current challenges with generated log data
-
Analyze gaps and missing data/messages generated through current logging framework/library
-
Define and guide best practices for capturing relevant information in logs across various applications and services
-
Ensure that the logging solution captures critical data for troubleshooting, monitoring, and analysis
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the new logging guidelines align with business objectives and technical requirements
-
Lead the implementation of the logging framework, working closely with development teams to integrate logging into existing software components
-
Optimize the logging framework for performance, ensuring minimal impact on application performance and system resources
-
Implement security measures to protect sensitive information captured in logs, ensuring compliance with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards
-
3+ years of progressive experience in software development, with a focus on logging, monitoring, and system analysis
-
Strong proficiency in logging technologies, such as log aggregation tools, data storage, and retrieval mechanisms
-
Profound knowledge of software architecture and design principles, with a demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable and robust logging solutions
-
Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture

Strong proficiency in Java programming languages; experience in React JS is a plus
-
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex issues through log analysis
-
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
-
Prior experience with industry-standard logging frameworks and tools (e.g., ELK stack, App Dynamic, Graylog, etc.) is a plus
-
Fluent spoken and written English at an upper-intermediate level or higher, enabling effective communication
-
Experience with cloud-based logging solutions and technologies

Experience with real-time log analysis and monitoring tools
-
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
