Service Writer

**Responsibilities:** - Serve as the main point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and addressing their needs - Write accurate and detailed service orders, documenting customer concerns and vehicle information - Communicate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance - Provide estimates and recommendations for necessary repairs or additional services - Upsell products and services to customers based on their vehicle's needs - Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of payments received - Coordinate with parts department to ensure availability of required parts for repairs - Maintain a clean and organized work area **Skills:** - Strong service writing skills, with the ability to accurately document customer concerns and vehicle information - Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures - Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and address their needs - Sales skills to upsell products and services based on customer needs - Familiarity with vehicle maintenance schedules and requirements - Proficiency in cash handling and basic math skills - Experience in auto service management is a plus - Ability to align vehicles and perform air brake inspections is a plus This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong knowledge of automotive repair.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $56,072.00 - $60,014.00 per year
