Job Summary
We are actively seeking a Senior Analyst/Analyst with expertise in Data Science and Advanced Analytics to join our Finance Analytics team at Lowe's. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and execution of advanced analytical solutions for FP&A functions and strategic initiatives. Collaborate closely with stakeholders in India and the US to leverage data-driven insights, tackle intricate challenges, and drive business growth. Responsibilities Include

• Utilize data science techniques and methodologies to design, develop, and deploy sophisticated analytical models for finance analytics, leveraging advanced statistical and machine learning algorithms.
• Develop accurate financial forecasts, predictive models, and scenario analyses to evaluate the impact of various business strategies, pricing initiatives, and market trends on financial performance.
• Tackle intricate business challenges by applying advanced analytics techniques to provide solutions that drive operational efficiency and financial performance.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis, exploratory data analysis, and data visualization to uncover insights, patterns, and trends in financial and operational data, and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Developing proof of concepts (POCs) to showcase the potential and value of advanced analytics within the finance domain.
• Ensure data quality and integrity: Perform data manipulation, cleansing, and preprocessing to ensure data quality and reliability for accurate and robust analysis.
• Continuously learn and keep abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning techniques, and analytics tools to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

Education, Experience and Skills

• A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as data science, statistics, mathematics, finance, or a related discipline is preferred. Advanced certifications in analytics or data science are a plus.
• 2-5+ years of experience in an advanced analytics role, preferably in a retail finance
• Demonstrated expertise in utilizing statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization to extract actionable insights and drive informed decision-making.
• Hand-on experience with forecasting methods, time series analysis, and financial modeling to support planning and strategy development.
• Expertise in feature engineering, model selection, hyperparameter tuning, and model evaluation to optimize model performance and ensure robustness.
• Demonstrated expertise in leveraging advanced analytics tools and programming languages such as Python, SQL, Alteryx and big data technologies and frameworks like Hadoop, Spark.
• Track record of successfully collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver impactful analytics solutions.
