JOB DESCRIPTION- SR. MANAGER (HYDROGEOLOGY DIVISION)
Educational qualifications specific to functional area:
I. Master’s (post-graduate) degree in Science/Technology or equivalent in either subject Hydrogeology, Geology/ Applied Geology from a UGC/AICTE recognized University/Institution or equivalent with full course or project/research work done in the field of groundwater modelling.
II. B.E/ B. Tech or higher degree in technical subjects such as Civil/Mining/Mechanical/ Earth Resource Engineering, Hydrology, Hydraulics or equivalent subject from a UGC /AICTE recognized University/ Institution or equivalent with full course or project work done in groundwater modelling.
III. Desirable: Ph D in relevant subject.
Minimum Experience: 5 Years
Placement: The candidate will be based in the Jaipur office, but will be required to travel for field work as needed, with expenses covered by the organization.
Probation Period: 6 Months
Experience specific to functional area must include:
I. Leadership quality in planning, selecting and guiding the team.
II. Domain knowledge and understanding of the project for which Hydrogeological Reports to be prepared.
III. Analysis of surface hydrological data pertaining to flow fluctuation, estimation of flows at 10, 50 and 90 percentile levels; setting up and interpretation of gauging station readings, designing of ground water table measurement and monitoring network, computation of ground water recharge, flow rate and direction.
IV. Analysis and description of aquifer characteristics e.g. permeability, transmissivity, storage coefficient etc., estimation of groundwater potential and recharge phenomenon, determination of impact of withdrawal of groundwater.
V. Prediction of scenarios using calibrated and validated groundwater models.
VI. Vibration analysis in relation to mining operations and developing geological maps.
VII. Geology and Geo morphological analysis/description/Stratigraphy/Lithology.
VIII. Development of Mining plan incorporating environmental aspects like top soil preservation, waste dump management, reclamation/rehabilitation of mined out areas, run off management and environmental impacts of 3 phases of mining – exploration, exploitation and post mining stages.
IX. Expert must have Ground Water Modelling Experience.
· Understanding the Graphical User Interface (GUI) and software used for groundwater modelling.
