Job title: Technical Sales Engineer
The position will be located in the Mid-West Region (Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Wisconsin) and will be remote from the company´s Headquarter in the Greater Cincinnati Metro Area. This is a great opportunity for a Junior level Engineer/Sales Engineer, with a few years of Sales/Business Development experience, and wants to continue to grow and excel in a Sales Engineer role, with an international company! We have a tremendous amount of flexibility, for the candidate with the right motivation and attitude! EXOR will provide customized support and training throughout the process.
Job description:
Exor is looking for an autonomous, detail-oriented, technical sales engineer to join the company. The sales engineer will work in close collaboration with the sales management of the North American Headquarter in West Chester Ohio / Greater Cincinnati Region.
A passion for industrial automation and manufacturing will enable you to excel in this role where you will interact with industrial companies and with engineers from functions like Senior Management, R&D, purchasing, product design, manufacturing engineers, … A good technical understanding will allow to learn about EXOR high quality products and their market applications, industry segments. As a good listener you will be able to interact with customers and understand their needs and wants in order to translate it into solutions and sales.
A passion for sales and business development will allow you to develop your territory and / or your industry segment (based on candidate’s profiles). Growth and development opportunities will be offered to high performers.
Responsibilities and duties:
Develop and grow the customer portfolio
Promotion and sales of EXOR product families and IIOT solutions
Market research and development of business intelligence
Build and develop strong business relationships
Identify leads and opportunities with new and existing accounts
Maintain internal data management systems (e.g., Salesforce, MS Dynamics)
Identify solutions and prepare technical/commercial proposals in alignment with the US HQ
Team
Negotiate and close commercial contracts
Account management and customer relationship management
Ensure customer satisfaction and information management towards HQ
Support After Sales client communication and support
Support the development of a high-performance distribution network
Regular interaction and reporting to HQ on goals, objectives and metrics
Regular informal and formal reporting to senior management and team members
Continuous learning willingness about industry trends and EXOR´s products and services
Ability to occasionally communicate with Italian HQ (in English / inter-cultural sensitivity is a
plus)
Entrepreneurial thinking and high level of autonomy
Organization skills and time management
All other tasks as necessary and required by the job
Reporting:
The position will report to the US / NAM Head of Sales and General Manager
Qualification and skills:
Mechanical or electrical engineering degree (bachelor)
Ideally some strong commercial and financial knowledge (MBA is a plus)
5-10 years of initial work experience in a technical sales role or application engineering
Experience with automated systems and robotics (PLC, HMI, systems engineering, …)
Strong organizational and project management capabilities
Strong communication skills, good listener, good communicator
Ability in a high-performance environment
Public speaking ease and good presentation skills
Willingness to travel (50%) of the time thereof domestic (95%) and international mobility
(5%)
Good command of business software and IT skills
Ability to work in the United States (work authorization)
Valid driver´s license is mandatory
Italian is a plus (but not a requirement)
