Job Profile - Underwriter
Location - Thane
Qualification - Any Graduate
Experience - 2 to 5 years
Salary - 35000 to 45000
Responsibilities -
1. Draw up quotes for competitive insurance premiums
2. Negotiate and define the specific term of insurance policies with insurance companies and client.
3. keep details records of policies underwritten and decisions made
4. Balance between mass and homogeneity of risks to achieve predictability of future results
5. Develop and maintain a profitable book of business for the insurer
6. Follow applicable insurance laws
7. The objective is to ensure quality in the commercial line underwriting being accepted, through risk analysis, portfolio management & adherence to underwriting guidelines
8. Experince of minimum 3 years in Commercial line underwriting with portfolio management
9. Underwriting of commercial line product( fire , engineering, marine, miscellaneous, liability limited to employee compensation & public liability industrial/non-indusrial/act)
10. Resposible for preparation of Quotation - referral as per authority
11. To prepare the quotation comparison statement
12. preparing insurance quote for fire/ burglary / wc/ gmc/ marine renewal and fresh business
13.Knowledge about portal handling for quotation.
Skills -
1. Proven insurance underwriting experience
2. Hands-on experience with " smart systems", analytical tools and statistical packages ( speeds sheet ,spss,databases etc)
3. Sensible judgment nad attention to details
4. Confident decision- making skills
5. Excellent knowledge of insurance policies and ability to related policy provisions to the loss exposures
