West Michigan Street Veterinary Clinic is a high-volume, full-service, fast-paced clinic on the west side of Indianapolis seeking an energetic, positive, experienced kennel assistant to join our close-knit Rockstar team! This position is for not only assisting our medical team (Tuesdays) but our surgical team as well(Mon/Wed/Fri).
Applicants will be expected to (but not limited to);

• Restrain cats and dogs safely
• Communicate with clients
• Be able to lift up to 50lbs (>50lbs will be assisted)
• Be able to bend and get up and down multiple times during the day
• Help keep our facility clean
• Keep track of daily tasks/duties
• Clean and prepare rooms for each client and patient
• Have a positive attitude for our awesome team
• Have great attendance
• Assist in patient recovery after surgery/ Extubate patients
• Be able to stand for extended periods
• Keep items stocked and organized
• Keep the surgical area clean and sanitary
• Maintain clean cages for patients
• Assist the Technicians/Assistants, the DVMs, Surgery Technician and Surgeon whenever help may be needed.
• Clean and make up surgery packs and instruments

Restraint and pack handling experience is required! Specific training for in-house lab machines and radiographs will be provided.
This is for a full-time position. Hours will be Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8am-5pm and Tuesday 9am-6pm.
