Job Description
Manage and mentor a group of engineers, helping them grow in their careers and perform well in their roles.
Oversee the planning, building, and completion of engineering projects, ensuring deadlines are met and the work meets our standards.
Work with different teams to design software that is secure, reliable, and easy to scale as we grow.
Stay updated on the latest technology trends and apply them to our platform to make it better.
Work with teams from product, legal, and customer support to ensure the platform meets all technical and business needs.
Make sure our platform follows all rules for data privacy and security, such as GDPR and HIPAA-like standards.
Find ways to make our engineering process faster and more efficient using methods like agile development.
Keep track of how our system is performing, and make improvements to ensure it runs smoothly and reliably.
Regularly update leadership on project progress and any technical challenges we face.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
5+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 2-3 years in a management or leadership role, preferably in a tech-driven industry (experience in legal tech, health tech, or fintech is a plus).
Proven experience in building scalable, secure, and compliant platforms.
Strong background in backend or full-stack development (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js).
Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with industry regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA (or analogous standards in legal tech), and security compliance.
Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams, drive innovation, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
Experience in agile methodologies, Dev Ops, and automation tools.
Strong analytical skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges while managing multiple priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
