a) Bachelor degree in material engineering discipline
b) Min 8 years working experience in area production facility subsea the experience gained shall be in a similar role and the candidate shall have a strong construction / fabrication engineering background and have demonstrable yard leadership skills.
c) A sound knowledge of material damage mechanisms associated with Oil and Gas
d) Knowledge of international materials standards and flowline, umbilical, polymer, composite, steel wire, pipeline fabrication, material selection, corrosion study, subsea and offshore design codes
e) Broad working knowledge the principles and practices of Materials Engineering
f) Coordination of project work with other engineering disciplines.
g) Plan and conduct independent work using sound judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
h) Devise practical approaches to solving materials engineering problems.
