Aircraft Mechanic I (CONUS & OCONUS)

ACET is seeking C-26 Aircraft Mechanic I’s at the following locations:
PMRF- Barking Sands, Hawaii
NAS- Sigonella, Italy
NSA- Naples, Italy
USTPS- Patuxent River, MD


Responsibilities:
  • Performs routine aircraft maintenance functions.
  • Operates aircraft towing equipment in towing operations as required.
  • Maintains aircraft fuel, oil and hydraulic systems.
  • Performs preventive maintenance inspections on aircraft and aircraft systems and subsystems.
  • Performs troubleshooting, repair, modifications, corrosion control and preservation of aircraft and aircraft systems and aircraft sub-systems, including fuel, oil and hydraulic systems. Overhauls aircraft components and sub-components
  • Services ground support equipment. Performs preventive maintenance inspections on all ground support equipment.
  • Completes maintenance documentation and required forms accurately, as required by job assignment.
Requirements:
  • Must be skill qualified and possess a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
  • Must be proficient in repairing fuel tanks and fuel leaks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position.
  • U.S Citizen and must pass a background check and be able to obtain and maintain a Common access card.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
  • Must have valid U.S. Passport.
  • Must demonstrate an operational knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, engines and component parts.
  • Must have knowledge of the proper use of hand tools in aircraft maintenance.
  • Able to read and write, and interpret and comply with aircraft maintenance procedures, manuals, specifications, and directives, guides and forms used on the job.
  • Previous maintenance experience with Metroliner 23 preferred
  • Previous C-26 aircraft and fixed-wing, pressurized, twin-engine turboprops experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds independently.
  • Must be able to pass fit for work physical and/or drug test as required.
  • Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, to include working overhead. Position requires sitting and/or standing at workbenches and wire boards 99% of the day.
  • Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flightline.
  • Must be able to man and perform Flightline Extinguisher duties.
  • If required must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate Powered Industrial Trucks.
  • If required must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2 - 4 hours.
  • If required must be able to perform confined space activities.
  • Position requires repetitive hand use using wire cutters, crimpers, etc.
  • Travel may be required.
