Position Summary & Key responsibilities
Working as part of Miraclon’s Technical Support team, the Flexo Solution Engineer is responsible for providing high level technical support for our solutions towards customers and channel partners situated mainly in Italy, and occasionally in other EMEA countries.
The Flexo Solution Engineer helps customers achieve excellence throughout the full lifecycle of Miraclon’s flexographic solutions Flexcel NX flexographic printing plates and imaging equipment), working both remotely and onsite, while providing day-to-day troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair, installation support, and proactive support services.
The Flexo Solution Engineer should be very proficient in the hardware used by packaging customers, and over time become proficient in corresponding applications skills and support functionality.
The Flexo Solution Engineer:

• Is a Key participant in the regional Technical Support team
• Provides technical support on hardware, application (media support) and software, via remote or onsite for regional flexographic customers.
• Performs remote support via the phone and dedicated tools (as part of escalation process).
• Performs pre-install surveys to ensure that equipment and space is suitable to support high quality platemaking.
• Performs installation, startup, training of the Flexcel NX plate-making solution to customers.
• Supports Alpha and Beta programs for upcoming products with selected customers.
• Collates learning’s from customer environments and communicates on periodic basis to future product development teams.
• Delivers Proactive services (Preventive Maintenance, Plateroom Audit, Print Trial support) at customer sites.
• Performs Installations and upgrades of Miraclon products.

Required Knowledge/Skills & Experience

• Self-starter – highly motivated to “make it happen”
• Curious and interested to learn and develop additional skills
• Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills, by preference in the printing prepress industry
• Good writing skills to summarize technical situations and path forward
• Strong verbal communication
• Good knowledge of spoken and written English
• Ability to follow instructions and to interact with high level support roles
• Ability to work under pressure and in an environment where multiple goals and priorities make focus difficult
• Customer focused and must have Service Excellence of attitude to address problems resolution in order to meet customer satisfaction
• Track record of high-quality performance and results.
• Experience working in a “hands-on” and “field” position with relatively little supervision.
• PC skills including basic excel and Power Point for analysis and communication
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 75%)
