We are currently seeking a Innovation Market and Technology Specialist to join our dynamic team in Castel Guelfo, Italy!
An Innovation market and technology specialist will build and develop a roadmap of new potential technologies applicable to Large Power Converters offerings and will provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise on a wider scope of markets, sectors and applications, with a major potential of becoming new business lines. The person with a “Think Big, Start Small, Learn Fast” mindset will clearly understand the assigned markets, routes, personas, restraining and driving forces for existing and new market opportunities.

We are currently seeking a Innovation Market and Technology Specialist to join our dynamic team in Castel Guelfo, Italy!

The person with a “Think Big, Start Small, Learn Fast” mindset will clearly understand the assigned markets, routes, personas, restraining and driving forces for existing and new market opportunities.
What kind of work will you be doing?
- Create and present a development roadmap for new technologies, markets, applications, business models etc. that could potentially become new significative business streams;
- Identify key technological trends and opportunities within the assigned areas, balancing technical innovation with practical business needs;
- Create business cases inclusive of revenue production and revenue support;
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with technology development, ensuring robustness, scalability, and compliance with industry standards;
- Develop contingency plans for potential technology disruptions or challenges in the roadmap;
- Provide subject matter expertise and market direction for the research areas assigned, connected to (but not limited to) large data center power infrastructure;
- Foster innovation in Large Power Converters systems, focusing on advancements that enhance reliability, efficiency, and performance in large-scale applications like data centers;
- Work in coordination with the Global Advanced Technology and Innovation leaderships and teams;
- Collaborate with Offering, R&D teams, product management, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to translate technology opportunities into viable products and solutions;
- Engage with external partners, universities, and research institutions to stay ahead of emerging technologies and industry standards:
- If necessary, be a thought leader for assigned advanced offerings both internally and externally;
- Contribute to the global portfolio product strategy and go-to-market plans;
- Attend tradeshows and visit key customers to ensure an accurate voice of customer is embedded in the development roadmap;
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or Applied Science related technical degree;
- MBA or MBI (Master of Business Innovation) and prior consulting, strategic planning or product marketing preferred;
- Ability to navigate complex, cross-disciplinary challenges and drive solutions that balance technical innovation with practical business needs
- Visionary mindset with the ability to anticipate industry shifts and innovate accordingly
- Contribute to build a strong network within the power electronics and electrical power industry
- Strong written/oral technical communication, especially in communicating customer needs
- Very strong research and analytical skills
- Participation in global calls outside of normal working hours
- Experience with 3-phase power distribution or UPS systems or Battery storage systems is preferred
- Fluent English
