The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is important partner valued for medical excellence. By investing in relationships and through knowledge, expertise, and insights, the MSL will enhance CSL Seqirus’ reputation and success to achieve our strategic goals. In designated therapy area/s to communicate and discuss the depth of science behind CSL Seqirus’ products to facilitate uptake and the quality use of our medicines. The MSL will be a contributor, working with the Brand Team to develop strategic medical, scientific and relationship management plans that align with our goals.

The MSL is a field-based; 70% of the time remote working field based.
As an MSL you are a a medical colleague responsible for providing medical & scientific information for the designated therapy area/s. The main purpose of the role is engaging and building strong relationships with key external medical experts; gathering insights and facilitate knowledge exchange; knowledge translation and data generation.

This role will cover the southern region of Italy.

Responsibilities include: -

• Facilitate communication between KOLs, HCPs and healthcare decision makers and internal brand team colleagues and provide customer insights that contribute to the development of medical strategies as appropriate; Provide a high-quality point of contact for scientific exchange between external experts/KOLs/HCPs and CSL Seqirus;
• Provide internal therapeutic and product expertise for regional and other Medical Affairs and/or clinical development needs. (e.g., formulary presentations, field force training, organised customer projects/collaborations, scientific congress participation, etc.). Develop and maintain in-depth expertise for designated therapeutic area and competitive landscape.
• Deliver presentations to payers, managed care organizations, formulary decision makers, professional society and government organisation decision makers, and local/ regional medical advisory boards in accordance with the designated medical strategy
• Facilitate both CSL Seqirus sponsored clinical trial, collaborative research, and investigator-initiated research activities in their regions, as determined by Medical Affairs and in accordance with CSL Seqirus SOPs. (CSL Seqirus sponsored research site/investigator interactions, IIR inquiries, etc.)
• Provide scientific insight to support and help marketing colleagues developing scientific and promotional materials.

Qualifications, skills, and Experience: -

• Advanced Scientific Degree (Pharm D, Ph.D., M.D., DO) with 5 or more years of experience following the last stage of training, including 2 or more years of experience in clinical and/or health services education or research (preferably in the pharmaceutical industry).
• Experience in infectious diseases, epidemiology, vaccines, and public health and/ or relevant therapeutic area is highly desirable.
• 3-5 years of experience following the last stage of training, including experience in clinical and/or health services education or research.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Excellent and demonstrated interpersonal skills:
• Manage a significant volume of projects developed in a field-based environment, while exhibiting the ability to prioritize, provide oversight, demonstrate excellent judgmental skills and work in a continuous improvement environment.
• Work within a matrixed, multi-disciplinary team to foster strong CSL Seqirus/customer professional relationships and which are aligned with CSL Seqirus business objectives.
• Be a self-starter, be accountable and have a sense of urgency in delivering results that have medical impact and yield a positive customer experience.
