Traction Power Engineer:
SYSTRA is actively seeking highly talented Sr. Traction Power Engineer to join our Rail Systems Team in Italy (Turin/Rome). The ideal candidate will serve as a technical lead preforming project work, preparing design drawings and documents, technical specifications, cost estimates, proposals, calculations, and studies associated with traction power system for electrified railways/metro/tramways ac and dc.

Requirements:
Master pr Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent title
8years of experience
Excellent speaking, writing and editing skills in English

Essential Skills and Knowledge
Experience in leading the production, checking and approval of traction power conceptual and detailed designs, including design calculations, single line diagrams, plan development, layout plans, specifications, Bo Qs, and technical report writing.
Experience in design of traction power substations and facility improvements, equipment sizing, feeder sizing, duct bank routing and configuration.
Competent in designing traction power control (SCADA).
Firsthand experience with performing rail specific traction power ac and dc design and analysis (load flow, power factor, short circuit, ground fault, protection coordination etc.). Experience with power systems modeling software such as ETAP, Open Power Net etc. would be an asset.
Coordination with architects, civil, mechanical, and structural engineers for station, tunnel, and guideway designs for traction power spatial requirements.
Experience in undertaking site surveys/site visits and supporting/supervising T&C.
Experience of rail traction power ac and dc equipment installation methods and practices.
Interest in mentoring team members and collaborating with peers.
