IMMEDIATELY HIRING: Medical Laboratory Technologist (Evening Blood Bank)
Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Blood Bank Technologist to join our team. We have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift openings!
As a Blood Bank Technologist, you will be responsible for the procurement, testing, and processing of blood components, as well as providing exceptional patient care and customer service to our clients. Responsibilities:

• Perform various tasks related to the procurement, testing, and processing of blood components, including blood typing, cross-matching, and testing for infectious diseases
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy
• Collaborate with laboratory team members to ensure timely and efficient processing of blood products
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospital staff and clients to ensure excellent customer service
• Participate in quality control activities, including proficiency testing and quality assessment
• Maintain accurate records and reports of all testing and processing activities
• Adhere to all applicable regulatory requirements and safety protocols
• Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay current with industry developments and best practices

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Medical Technology or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certification or eligible to sit for exam (NICE TO HAVE)
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a blood bank or medical laboratory setting preferred
• Strong understanding of blood banking principles, procedures, and regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy
• Familiarity with computerized laboratory information systems (LIS) a plus

Work Environment:

• The Blood Bank Technologist will work in a dynamic laboratory setting with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, gowns, and masks.
