About the Role
As an Account Executive at Zilliz, you will be at the forefront of our expansion in Japan. Your primary mission is to acquire new customers and deepen relationships with existing ones, driving the growth of Zilliz Cloud, also Milvus community, across the market. You have a knack for navigating complex sales cycles and a passion for technology, which allows you to articulate the value of our products to customers and partners. Reporting to the Director of Sales, Japan, you will play a pivotal role in our continued success.

Founded by the engineers behind Milvus, the world’s most popular open-source vector database, the company builds next-generation database technologies to help organizations quickly create AI applications. On a mission to democratize AI, Zilliz is committed to simplifying data management for AI applications and making vector databases accessible to every organization.

What You Will Do
- Lead the charge in securing new logos within the Japanese market, targeting key accounts that align with our strategic growth objectives.
- Develop and execute a targeted logo acquisition strategy that focuses on expanding our footprint in high-potential accounts.
- Increase the adoption of Zilliz Cloud and Milvus by identifying new use cases within both new and existing accounts, ensuring maximum value delivery.
- Build and nurture critical relationships with C-Level executives, including those in Engineering, Platform, Architecture, and Data Science, positioning them as advocates for Zilliz within their industries.
- Engage in high-value negotiations that demonstrate the clear ROI of our solutions, guiding deals to a successful close.
- Proactively plan and manage the growth of Zilliz Cloud usage across your customer portfolio, ensuring sustained business impact.
- Gain a deep understanding of each customer’s unique business needs, enabling you to tailor your approach for maximum resonance.
- Identify key data use cases and buying centers within opportunities to drive deeper engagement and expand Zilliz’s impact.
- Collaborate effectively with Zilliz teams and ecosystem partners to enhance your sales efforts and drive successful outcomes.

What We Are Looking For
- Highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative startup environment.
- Resilience and a tenacious attitude, with the ability to recover quickly from setbacks and maintain a relentless pursuit of success.
- A deep passion for open-source technologies and AI/ML products, with a strong interest in how they can transform businesses.
- Proven sales experience in Saa S/Paa S or Big Data environments, with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Experience working in an early-stage company, with the ability to navigate and thrive in a rapidly growing organization.
- Established relationships with CIOs and executive decision-makers
- Strong track record of closing high-value deals, particularly those exceeding $250K ACV.
- Hunger for delivering exceptional results and a commitment to continuous self-improvement.
- Written and verbal fluency in Japanese and English
