Position Description :

Are you a Field Service Engineer looking for a place you can make a difference every day? Serco is searching for an experienced Field Service Engineer in support of The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Ashore Program in Okinawa, Japan.

The NAVFAC AT/FP Ashore Sustainment Program is executed by the NAVFAC AT/FP Ashore Program Management Office (PMO), NAVFAC Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) and NAVFAC regional Facilities Engineering Commands (FECs). The primary goal of the NAVFAC AT/FP Ashore Sustainment Program is to provide both preventive and corrective maintenance services to Navy installations as required to sustain NAVFAC AT/FP Ashore Program Systems in accordance with their operational requirements.

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) Ashore Program's mission is to design, procure, integrate, install and sustain the systems/equipment hardware, associated firmware, and software required to provide the ability to protect mission-critical assets and personnel from natural disasters, acts of terrorism and other human-caused disasters.

In this role, you will:

Install, troubleshoot, and maintain products/equipment including alarms, naval munitions, giant voice, cameras, intrusion detection, emergency operation centers, regional dispatch centers, gates, wide area alert, indoor voice, dispatch activities, and support for regional and emergency operation centers as needed.
Train employees, identify, analyze, and repair product failures; order and replaces parts as needed.
Be relied upon to determine and recommend which products or services best fit the customers' needs.
Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Ability to be on-call after hours and over weekends.
Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Bachelor's degree and 2 years' experience OR high school diploma/GED with 4 years' experience in the field related to the job description listed above.
An active Do D Secret clearance
Be able to travel locally and long distance as needed up to 25% of the time
Familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures related to the job description listed above.

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $66,558 to $110,931; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
