Introduction
This is an excellent opportunity to join a Private Equity firm headquartered in Luxembourg that invests in many sectors worldwide!
We are an international team, with almost all continents represented by our 30 staff members. Our working language is English, and we collaborate closely with colleagues in our London office.
We are looking for an Accountant to provide support to the Finance Department by handling operational accounts payable and accounting tasks. The successful applicant will be joining a team of professionals working to maintain good order and transparency of the company’s finances and will report to the Accounting Team Leader. Responsibilities
· General bookkeeping from A – Z, including cash transactions, invoices, FF and other transactions as required for the preparation of quarterly and annual accounts.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable.
(Accounts payable – taking full responsibility of invoice processing).
· Preparation of internal reports based on accounts payables and invoices processed.
· Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card statements, and other accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
· BCL report preparation and submission.
· Assistance with preparation of Financial Statements.
· Ownership of internal loan tracker (updates and reconciliation).
· Assistance with preparation of VAT returns (working on internal templates).
· Reconciliation of intercompany balances.
· Processing of cash expenses reimbursements.
· Maintain and improve internal controls to protect company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
· Audit assistance.
· Assist with special projects, such as system upgrades, as needed by the finance team.
Requirements
· BSc/Ba in accounting, finance or relevant field.
· Min. 3 years of work experience in accounting.
· Fluent in English (oral and written).
· Proficient in the use of MS Office, particularly Excel. Sage BOB 50 experience is a plus.
· Excellent interpersonal skills.
· Outstanding attention to detail with focus on reaching high-level quality standards.
· Good with numbers an analytical competence.
· Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
