Lux Connect was founded in 2006 and is a private limited company owned by the Luxembourg State. Lux Connect acts as a facilitator and incubator in the ICT industry. Lux Connect is a multi-tenant and multi-Tier Data Center provider and Dark Fiber network operator based in Luxembourg and has one open job position. The position is full-time job and will be governed by an open-ended contract.

Vos missions

1. Data Center

• Provide day-to-day oversight of Data Center(s) facilities.
• Provide maintenance, repair, installation and operation of the Data Center(s) facility as follows:
• Coordinate the development and build-out of the Data Center(s), whilst maintaining the functionality of existing facility.
• Manage committed customer projects, develop and maintain good relationships.
• Operate and maintain Data Center(s) to assure 100% uptime to customers and to obtain maximum effectiveness and efficiency (safety, cost, equipment longevity and reliability).
• Assume crisis management responsibilities.
• Manage Data Center Visit

1. People Management

• Provide leadership and personal development opportunities to the Data Centers Facilities team.
• Supervise departmental personnel by assigning and ensuring quality of work, scheduling resources and handling personnel and customers issues.
• Collaborate with Data Center management team, Sales, Dark Fiber, Network and customers to elaborate value-added proposals and solutions.
• Coordinate, oversee and manage repair and maintenance work assignments performed by technicians, vendors and contractors.
• Participate in the coordinate vendor and contractor selections, forge strong vendor and contractor relationships.

1. Finance & Reporting

• Ensure the elaboration and control of the Data Center(s) budget.
• Provide vendor invoicing control and the triggering of the customer invoicing.
• Be 24/7 available as escalation point for Data Center facility issues and report major / critical incidents and issues to the Chief Technology Officer.
• Report regularly to the General Management on the Data Center(s) uptime and operational availability of the facility’s equipment’s.

Vos compétences

• You hold a technical bachelor’s degree.
• You have at least 10 years of work experience in a technical position.
• Electrical and HVAC skills are essential
• Customer focus to meet their expectations and requirements.
• Drive for results and able to meet deadlines.
• Planning and organizing resources to get things done and orchestrating multiple activities to accomplish the mission/project.
• You are a team player encouraging collaboration and are cooperative.
• You are multilingual, proficiency in Luxembourgish, French, English and German.
