Position Title: Senior Finance Executive
Industry: Retail (Jewellery)
Location: Bangsar South
Job Responsibilities
  • Managing General Ledger Entries:
  • Record, update, and reconcile GL entries for all transactions, including revenues, expenses, assets, and liabilities for closing activities.
  • Ensure that all transactions are recorded in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Account Reconciliation:
  • Perform regular reconciliation of GL accounts, including bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between GL and subsidiary ledgers.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Generate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide variance analysis and explanations for significant changes in account balances.
  • Compliance and Internal Controls:
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies, identifying and addressing potential issues related to compliance.
  • Support audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and working closely with auditors.
  • Journal Entries and Adjustments:
  • Prepare and post journal entries related to depreciation, accruals, reclassifications, and adjustments.
  • Analyze the need for corrections in financial records and post adjusting entries as required.
  • Tax and Regulatory Compliance:
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure proper filing of VAT, GST, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all transactions comply with tax regulations and company standards.
  • Fixed Asset Management:
  • Maintain the GL for fixed assets, including tracking additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
  • Reconcile fixed asset sub-ledgers with the GL.
  • Supporting Financial Planning and Analysis:
  • Provide financial data and insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making processes.
Qualifications & Experiences Needed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong GL experience and knowledge of a minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • ⁠Strong data entry and the ability to do/experience in manual processes will be an advantage.
  • Possess good communication skills and analytical thinking skills.
  • Language proficiency: English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
