ED&F Man is a global company in the international commerce area; we are looking to recruit an Inventory and FX rate Accountant to support our Mexico Operation.
We need an individual with proven experience of operating within a fast-paced international environment with a proactive approach to transactional activities, financial reporting and control, continuous improvement and domain of English language.
RESPONSIBILITIES (among others)
· Complete accounting records of all kinds in different currencies
· Month-end closing with specific deadlines
· A lot of attention to detail because the position handles different companies from various countries and currencies
· Analysis of all types of accounting information
· Preparation of financial statements
· ERP Management in English and Spanish
· Communication with our London office to explain and answer questions about reported info
REQUIREMENTS
· The individual undertaking this role should be a titled Accountant with solid accounting experience preferably gained in an international corporative environment.
· Minimum 3 years of qualified experience gained within a global accounting environment is essential.
· Experience of accounting under IFRS
· Ability to challenge and seek continuous improvement to reporting and control processes
· Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
· Strong and fluent interpersonal and communication skills both in English and Spanish.
· A ‘hands on’ practical approach is required for this role.
· The role requires a well organised and efficient individual who can manage competing deadlines with strict time constraints.
· Flexible, proactive and willing to take on additional tasks as the department’s workload requires.
· Teamwork, proactive, Excel proficient, self-motivated.
Company offers:
- Gross Monthly Salary: MXN30,000 to 35,000 according to experience

- Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 Pm
