Resumen:
Trabajando como un chofer de tiempo completo, realizaras entregas desde los distintos centros de distribución a las sucursales, así como a los distintos clientes. Maneja un tortón o quinta rueda de último modelo. Los camiones de reparto son precargados por los empleados del almacén antes de la salida y usted será responsable de descargar la carga en cada parada a lo largo de su ruta; la mayoría de las rutas tienen un promedio de 10 a 12 paradas. Dado que las rutas se planifican previamente, conocerá su horario con semanas de antelación.

Aptitudes profesionales requeridas:
Las siguientes habilidades y aptitudes son requeridas para el puesto:
o Capacidad de comunicación oral y escrita
o Poseer o estar en proceso de obtener una licencia de conducir federal
o Poseer o tener la capacidad de obtener una autorización para el manejo de material peligroso
o Cumplir con los requisitos de historial de conducción de Fastenal
o Demostrar nuestros valores fundamentales de ambición, innovación, integridad y trabajo en equipo
o Capacidad de cargar hasta 70 libras

Aptitudes preferidas para el puesto:
o Experiencia previa en la conducción
o Experiencia previa en el manejo de un montacargas

OVERVIEW:
Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals be on our transportation team! Working as a Full-time Driver (DOT- CDL), you will be representing our fleet as you deliver from Fastenal Distribution Centers to branches and customer on-site locations. You will operate a safe, well-maintained and late model tractor trailer or straight truck. Delivery trucks are pre-loaded, in order of delivery, by warehouse employees prior to departure and you will be responsible for unloading the freight at each stop along your route; most routes average 10-12 stops. We offer established routes that may see periodic change based off needs of the company. RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
o Utilizing a handheld scanner
o Unloading product from trucks by hand, pallet jack, or by forklift
o Providing excellent service to our branches and customers by delivering product in a prompt, efficient manner
o Interacting with our shipping and receiving departments
o Maintaining a clean work environment within our equipment
o Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work area
o Inspecting and reporting defects or issues in equipment
o Complying with DOT and Fastenal safety regulations
o Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
o Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
o Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
o Possess or are currently in progress of obtaining a Commercial Driver's License
o Possess a current Health Card OR have the ability to obtain one
o Possess a current Haz Mat endorsement OR have the ability to obtain one (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
o Meet Fastenal driving record requirements
o Demonstrate strong working knowledge of the DOT regulations in regards to a CDL Driver
o Maintain DOT regulated Drivers Hours-of-Service
o Willingness to drive interstate routes across state lines
o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
o Lift up to 60 lbs. and maneuver up to 150lbs.
o Successfully complete the required DOT drug and alcohol screens, road test, employment verification and background check

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Prior driving work experience
o Prior experience operating a forklift
