Safety Technical Catalyst
- Coordinate safety policies implementation and risk assessments to protect employees and contractors from workplaces hazards, ensuring compliance of occupational health and safety regulations. This includes manage asset process master file, keeping update on new regulations, and ensure actions follow up of PHA, Fire protection assessment, Lab safety, EPPD and / or Intelex findings.
- Support investment projects or improvement initiatives from planning to completion to ensure that objectives are met on time, within budget and occupational and process safety compliance, working close with external consultants and contractors as needed for design, assessments and remediations.
- Lead investigations into safety incidents, near-misses, or accidents to determine root causes and corrective actions. This include generate detailed reports on incidents, safety trends, recommend proactive safety measures, and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions and safety protocols.
- Ensure the proper selection, use, and management of personal protective equipment (PPE) and working clothes based on the specific risks associated with the work environment or tasks being performed. This includes maintain accurate inventory records and optimize stock levels.
- Provide technical mentorship and support to the safety team and other operational teams. This includes safety data sheets evaluation, work permits, job safety analysis, machinery safety and hazard recognition.
- Lead training program for all employee, to ensure consistent sustainability culture and safety compliance across the organization. This includes define and implement specialized training for current or new members of QHSE team and general program for all Site.
- Support Product Supply System (PSS) implementation and other continuous improvement initiatives, reaching process efficiency, safety and optimize costs, by promoting the use of all Lean Six Sigma tools and being supportive to reach the PSS target each year. This include know policies of integrated management system (SIG), collaborate to implement and maintain operational controls and follow up and comply organizational goals.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Industrial, Process, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in safety management, technical safety, or a related role within a technical or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated leadership to lead cross-functional, multilevel teams from shop floor to managerial level.
- Effective facilitator and communication through encouragement, motivation, and inspirational skills at all levels of the organization.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, best practices, willingness and ability to deliver results, with a good sense on priorities.
- Experience conducting safety risk assessments, hazard analysis, and incident investigations.
- Fluent in English.
- Desirable special knowledge: ISO-9001, ISO-14001, ISO-45001, SAP
