Your future role
Our finance department in The Netherlands (Eersel) is responsible for the preparation of accounting and financial files and performs ongoing financial management for our sites in The Netherlands, The United Kingdom and Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Specifically, your role will involve:
Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger, ensuring the accuracy of financial data
Prepare and process journal entries, including accruals, provisions, fixed assets, and reclassifications
Assist in ensuring timely and accurate filing of monthly VAT and ICP returns
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities in a timely manner
Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements
Assist in preparation of documentation for external audits
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and relevant financial regulations
Collaborate with other finance team members to analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making
Reconcile and manage intercompany transactions and ensure balanced intercompany positions
Support the Accounts Payable and Receivable teams in resolving discrepancies and ensuring proper coding of transactions
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance existing accounting methods, work procedures, and business processes
Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems or processes as needed
Your future work environment
You will be based in Eersel, the Netherlands, the European headquarters of Premier Tech Systems and Automation.
Required skills
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field with relevant working experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and norms
Proficient in ERP systems (preferably JD Edwards) and advanced knowledge of Excel.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Willing to work with tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Languages: Dutch and English, both verbally and in written form – German language skills are a plus
A pleasant personality and a good sense of humor
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an advantage
