We are looking for a passionate person to fill an Allied Health Assistant (AHA) permanent part-time role within our supportive occupational therapy team. Hours to be worked are 32 hours per week and can be flexible during the period Monday to Friday.
This role is varied and offers the opportunity to improve the wellbeing of patients journeying through previous and new health conditions including but not limited to traumatic brain injury, stroke, general medical and frailty conditions.
You will work alongside the Clinical Lead Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Advanced Rotators and Allied Health Assistants to ensure excellent service delivery whilst having the opportunity to grow your toolkit of transdisciplinary knowledge.
This role is covered by the PSA Allied Public Health, Scientific and Technical Collective Agreement. Salary range for this position is $72,074 to $86,719 (full-time equivalent).

Our preferred candidate will have:
  • Experience in a hospital setting working on acute awards and preferrable experience in a rehab setting
  • Flexibility to work different shift patterns dependent on service need. This can be negotiable for the appropriate person in the role
  • Passion and a drive to make a real difference through your work and have a strong cultural awareness
  • The ability to work well independently and in a team environment
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills
