Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Registered nurse with orthopaedic experience to join our Surgical Resource Nursing Team at Waikato Hospital.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist role is based in Acute Orthopaedics.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Supports the acute orthopaedic patient journey both as an acute inpatient and those waiting at home for acute surgery
- Provides Clinical Support/ guidance for patients and staff
- Supports the management of orthopaedic patients in non-orthopaedic wards
- Updates education resources, policies and procedures

The role is part of the Surgical Resource Nurses committed to providing a supportive team and alongside the Orthopaedic Service we are committed to support and develop the team and service to provide excellent care for our patients and whanau
Mōu | About you
- A proficient or expert Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years experience ideally in Orthopaedics
- A current practising certificate
- Post-graduate qualification or working towards
- A strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently
- Adaptability, flexibility and agility
