About the Role:
As a Management Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our Regional Infrastructure team, which is responsible for overseeing our Civil Construction, Maintenance Operations, Surfacing, and Traffic projects across New Zealand. You will be a key player in driving financial performance and supporting the team with insightful financial analysis, cost control, and management reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, analyze, and report on financial performance, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Provide in-depth cost control and budget management for ongoing projects.
- Partner with project managers and operations teams to ensure accurate financial forecasting.
- Deliver timely financial reports, analysis, and insights to aid in strategic decision-making.
- Utilize SAP S/4HANA to manage financial data and streamline processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize financial reporting and cost management.
Our ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in management accounting, combined with relevant industry experience. You'll be a proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for detail, ready to contribute to a fast-paced and collaborative team environment. Here's what we're looking for:
- CA Qualified with at least 3 years of experience in management accounting.
- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA is beneficial.
- Proven experience in cost control, financial analysis, and management reporting.
- Industry experience within Heavy Civil / Roading or relatable industry would be great.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
