Breast Screen Waitematā Northland is part of the Ministry of Health's Breast Screen Aotearoa free national screening programme. We are looking for dedicated, experienced MITs capable of working across all our screening and assessment sites at Takapuna and North West, and also on our mobile screening units.
We have assessment clinics in the Central and Waitematā regions giving ample opportunity for a variety of skills in addition to screening mammography. The mobile units operate over the Auckland and Waitematā area and the other in the Far North region with mileage, accommodation and allowances provided for travel away from home on a rostered basis.
Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Health Science in Medical Imaging or equivalent, registration with the NZMRTB and a current Annual Practicing Certificate. Holding a Postgraduate Certificate in Mammography or a recognised Certificate in Proficiency in Mammography is desirable, or a willingness to work towards this within 2 years of working with us.
