The Nurse Leader role is responsible for:

• Providing advanced professional leadership and management to the nursing workforce in Mental Health and Addiction Services across the Bay of Plenty district
• Leading the delivery of Toi Ora Systems of Care and contributing to improving health outcomes for Māori
• Progressing workforce development initiatives
• Working in partnership with the Business Leader, Clinical Director and Chief Nursing Officer - Toi Ora to lead and support clinical excellence through evidence-based nursing practice
• Leading and promoting continuous quality improvement

This is a permanent, full-time position covering the services across Hauora a Toi – Bay of Plenty.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• A relevant Masters qualification
• Significant experience in Māori health delivery, implementation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
• Significant experience in a Nursing leadership
• Significant Mental Health experience
• You will need personal resilience in this time of system wide change
• You will require strong negotiating skills to engage collaboratively with internal and external partners across the sector.
