Phlebotomist, Laboratory Technician

1 Year fixed term contract – part time hours

We are currently looking for an experienced Medical Sciences Council registered Phlebotomist (QPT/QMLT) or Trainee to join our team at Counties Manukau Health. If you have an excellent interpersonal and organisation skill and likes working in a hospital environment, then this opportunity could be for you.

We have a part time 1 year fixed term contract available (0.625FTE) and the successful applicant will work at both Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Health Park. Expected start date for this role is 11 October 2024.

The position will be 10 days per fortnight rostered shift work. Flexibility with working hours is required, able to participate in weekend roster and some call-back.

Experience in blood collection for all age groups and previous experience in Intravenous Cannulation is desirable.

Essential:
Eligible to work in New Zealand
Registered QPT/QMLT or able to obtain registration from the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand
Knowledge of and ability to apply the Privacy Act
Able to collect samples from adults, children and neonates
